I’m starting two new things with this entry. I’ve never blogged before (or really done much of anything on the internet besides surf). The other thing I’m doing is embarking on a new exercise regimen. I’ve joined a club (LA Fitness) and hired a personal trainer and I’ll be following the guidelines outlined in John Berardi’s book The Metabolism Advantage. For the past year, I’ve been controlling my blood sugar by eating a low-carb diet and by doing some exercise (mostly daily treadmill). I managed to lose 40 pounds but then gained 5-10 of that back over the holidays. Since then, I’ve been kind of stalled in my weight loss. I decided to try something else and I’m doing it in a big way. I hope a year from now, there have been lots of posts and lots of progress and I will be a former fat guy. Wish me luck!
